| Thank you for covering this Triangle Tribune and Kylie Marsh. I didn't realize this article was posted so I want to correct something: "Angel Iset-Dozier said before the council that her intellectual work was done to lay the roadmap for the Hayti Reborn project, which was established in 2023. She also said the CDC was fraudulently formed, and this is why St. Joseph’s asked to be removed as fiscal agent." I created the roadmap for the Hayti Revitalization Plan. As suggested by Mark Anthony Middleton in January 2023, the plan was known by placeholder title, "Durham Marshall Plan" since we were tasked with naming the foundation or CDC, collaboratively--by then mayor Elaine O'Neal. Throughout the process she would say to us, "You have to move with one voice." On March 22, 2023, we, as a collaborative, officially named the Hayti Community Healing Plan, Hayti One Voice. Not Hayti Promise. Hayti Promise is credited with our work because Angela Lee, formerly of Hayti Heritage Center, established Hayti Promise CDC on February 13, 2023 without any of our knowledge and without the SJHF's consent or approval process. So, the problem was not Hayti Reborn. Hayti Reborn is a strong accomplice and truly for the community. |
