The time has come for a sonic revolution as The Southern Brothas, a refined collective of veteran artists, announce the release of their debut EP, “a TSB Summer.” Based in North Carolina, this formidable group offers soulful artistry that pays homage to the rich history of music, while crafting the sound of the future.
To celebrate their debut album, band members Sir Baggumz, Nabinski or NABS, and Mr. Twip will be hosting “a TSB Summer” Unplugged EP Release Experience June 24 at Zweli’s Kitchen in downtown Durham. This is an exclusive evening of elegance, culture and cuisine. Guests will enjoy a social hour, sit-down interview and a live concert.
The Southern Brothas are also organizing a heartfelt fundraiser during the release event for community partners Families Moving Forward, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping unsheltered families find permanent housing. Its goal is to deliver backpacks to the children living in the shelter, filled with art supplies, activity books, sleeping bags and snacks to enjoy during the summer; in an effort to uplift their spirits and bring a sense of comfort during this challenging time in their young lives.
"This EP is our invitation to rediscover the power of love through music – the universal language of connection," said NABS, who led the production of the album. “We’ve poured our collective life experiences, talents, and passion for music into ‘a TSB Summer,' creating something authentic that we believe will resonate deeply and inspire the people.”
The album is a journey through the myriad flavors of soul – the very essence that has historically served as the vibrant core of nearly every genre. Tracks on the project were written by TSB and featured Atlanta-based artist Cetuká. With impeccable musicianship, masterful production, profound lyrical content and a signature southern style, TSB is igniting a music renaissance.
“a TSB Summer" will be streaming on all major platforms beginning June 23.
