| Amanda Bennett, a poet, cultural critic and public humanities practitioner, has been selected the ninth poet laureate for the town of Carrboro. Bennett is the first-ever Black woman selected. She is the author of “Working the Roots” and is a postdoctoral fellow in grant operations management and creative engagement with the UNC-Chapel Hill Arts & Humanities Grant Studio. |
