Aggieland is in mourning.

Former defensive lineman Kelvin Broadhurst Jr. died in a motorcycle accident last weekend after crashing along I-40.

Police reported Broadhurst, 20, was taking the ramp to US 29 South late in the afternoon when he lost control, hit a guardrail and was thrown from the motorcycle. He died at the scene.

Broadhurst was an electrical engineering major.

“I was planning his 21st birthday and it just seemed unreal cause now I’m having to plan his funeral,” Broadhurst’s mother, Latoya Lyles, told WCNC Charlotte.

NCAT is offering counseling services in Murphy Hall for students.
