NCCU press conference

Posted by: Editor-Bonitta Best on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 12:00:00 am

The first time I met Trei Oliver was at North Carolina Central’s athletic banquet in 1998. He and teammate Buddy Crutchfield were about to graduate and both were anxiously awaiting a call from an NFL team to sign on as a free agent.

Fast forward 20 years, and Oliver got another call, this one as head football coach. Oliver was reintroduced to Eagleland at a Thursday press conference before a standing-room only crowd.
