Two back-to-school events are happening this weekend in Raleigh. First is the eighth annual LeVelle Moton and PJ Tucker Back to School Community Day at the Raleigh Boys Club on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lots of free giveaways.

John Wall’s Back to School Field Day is from noon to 2 p.m. at The Salvation Army, 902 Wake Forest Road. For Wall’s event, participants must be escorted by a chaperone.

Football scrimmages: St. Augustine’s and North Carolina Central will both hold scrimmages on Saturday. The Falcons intrasquad scrimmage is at 1 p.m., while the Eagles kick off at 5 p.m., followed by a meet the players autograph session at 7 p.m.
