Celebrating Bridge Art on Tanyard Branch Trail
An art railing has been installed on a pedestrian bridge on the Tanyard Branch Trail that connects Umstead Park with the Northside neighborhood in Chapel Hill. A dedication ceremony open to the public is Oct. 20, 9:30 a.m., at the bridge site. Created by artist and metal fabricator Leo Gaev, the bridge art features 43 silhouettes cut out of steel securely attached to perforated, steel panels that span both sides of the bridge.
