Luncheon at Hargraves Community Center
The Town of Chapel Hill employees held their 22nd Annual Employee Celebration in honor of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 18 at Hargraves Community Center. The event which is organized by and for employees included a panel discussion, poetry, expressions and song, and an employee lunch. Chapel Hill was one of the first communities in North Carolina to declare Martin Luther King Jr. Day a municipal holiday, giving municipal employees the day off.
